Inventory Count Tags can be used as an alternative to manually entering inventory quantities on the worksheet from the Inventory Count Console, as outlined in Count Tag Entry.
This utility can be used to assign Count Tags to the products to
be counted for this location.
A number range for tags for the location must first be assigned, by
clicking the RANGE button as outlined in Define Count Tag Range by Location.
Only products on a worksheet page of 1 or higher will be assigned a
tag, as products listed on the blank page do not have a
location record and so it is unlikely there will be any quantity to
count.
A Count Tag will be generate for each serial number for
serialized sale parts included in the selected range.
A new Count Tag will not be assigned to any products that
have already been updated by a "processed" tag.
Note: Any manual Count Tags that have been entered prior to generating the Count Tags by range will still be processed successfully, but any further manual tags must fall into the defined range.
The prompts are:
Type ALL to generate count tags for all locations for which an Inventory Worksheet flagged to Use Count Tags to Update Qty's was generated from the Inventory Count Console , or enter a single location, or select one from the drop-down list.
Note: Locations that do not have an existing Inventory Worksheet that uses Count Tags to report inventory quantities can not be selected.
This field can be used to request a number of extra Count Tags for this location that could be useful for entering additional product counts and for when multiple count tags are required for one product.
Check this box to print the Count Tags using Crystal or
Jasper Forms, with the tag #, bar code, bin location, product #,
product bar code, date, description, and location.
Space is provided to enter the quantity count, the clerk name, and
any additional remarks.
Uncheck this box to generate the tags but skip printing them at
this time.
Selected Count Tags can always be printed later from Print Count Tags.
Note: If insufficient tags are available in the tag range for
this location, a warning is triggered noting the number of tags
short.
No products are assigned to the tags.
ACTIONS:
Additional actions provided by buttons on
the Generate Count Tags screen include:
