Depreciation Error Log
The Depreciation Error Log is generated if the
depreciation calculation process encounters any errors, such as bad
product numbers, an invalid depreciation class, or MACRS
Depreciation method assigned to a tag for a bulk item.
Error conditions include:
- Invalid product number which causes "ERROR READING RSPF
FOR..."
- Invalid depreciation class which causes "BAD DEPN CLASS(xxxxx)
FOR PRODUCT..."
- Invalid group which causes "ERROR READING RSGF FOR..."
- Invalid acquired/disposal dates which causes "ERROR: TAG# xxxxx
HAS INVALID ACQUIRED/DISPOSAL DATES"
- Accumulated additions are greater than the actual depreciation
which causes "ERROR: ACCUMULATED ADDITION DETAILS GREATER THAN
ACTUAL DEPRN"
- Invalid MACRS which causes "ERROR: INVALID MACRS TABLE FOR
xxxxx"
- Quantity not 1 for MACRS which causes "ERROR: TAG# xxxxx PROD#
yyyyyyyyyyyy QTY # 1 - MACRS NOT ALLOWED"
An option is provided to print the errors as outlined in
Information Log.
After correcting the errors on the products or their Fixed Asset
tags, re-run the Calculate Depreciation program.
