Certain fields for non-bulk rental products are mandatory to capture and categorize complete information in the SmartEquip export tables, when the SmartEquip processing is activated and configured on the SmartEquip tab of the Software Integration.
This utility can be used to export product information which is
required for SmartEquip to an Excel spreadsheet.
All non-bulk product information or just records with missing data,
with or without including products with a zero quantity, can be
included in the exported spreadsheet.
Required fields that can be updated using this utility include the
Make, Model, Fixed Asset Tag Serial #, and Manufacture Date.
The data can be verified and updated on the spreadsheet and after the spreadsheet is saved as a Tab-Delimited ASCII .txt file, it can be import back into SRM to update the corrected values.
The import action moves the tab-delimited text file from the Client to the Server as outlined in Select a File to Upload, and when accepted updates the associated Rental Inventory records.
The prompts for this utility include:
Export:
The appropriate spreadsheet will be exported to display on the
screen or the prompt to email it is triggered as controlled by the
Prompt to Email Spreadsheets flag set in Company Miscellaneous Parameters.
Import:
If a file is to be imported, the prompt to Select a File to Upload is triggered to select the
file to load.
Only the values for Make, Model, Fixed Asset Tag Serial #,
Manufacture Date, and Engine Serial Number are uploaded.
An error log is generated in the Information
Log format if data is missing or errors are found.
A verification spreadsheet is generated to show valid records that
have been updated.

Additional actions provided by buttons on
the SmartEquip Compliance screen include:
The resulting spreadsheet lists the Sales Part number (Our
Part#), the product description, Group, Group description, and
Vendor Product Number.
All Groups are included even though only some Groups may be used by
the SmartEquip application.
Manual changes to the Vendor Product # can be made in Update Vendor Product # and Description or to the
Group in Update Product/Class/Group/Vendor
to fix relevant Sales Parts.
Note: Sales products with a blank Vendor Product # are excluded from the list.
