Update Customer Children Settings


Utilities Menu -> Accounts Receivable Utilities -> Update Customer Children Settings

Use this program to identify Child customers whose Division, Salesman, Terms, Credit Rating, Special Pricing setup (excluding multi-tiered pricing), and/or Tax codes (excluding Enhanced Taxes), differs from the Parent customer as defined in Customer Information.

A list of "out of sync" Child//Parent records can be exported to a spreadsheet.

Note: If Enable Multi-Tiered Pricing is activated in the Company Rate Parameters then pricing differences are ignored.
If the Enhanced Taxes feature is activated in the Company Taxing Parameters then tax differences are ignored.

UPDATE CHILD RECORDS:
The option to update the values of the children to match the corresponding parent is provided.

Operator Security Role Permissions restrictions are NOT considered when Child records are updated as the object of this utility is to identify discrepancies and synchronize Parent/Child data.
If security is required, role security should be set on this menu option in Menu Security.

If pricing is updated on the child accounts, a record is written to the Audit Log for Customer Pricing changes.

Note: If the update option is declined, then a rollback error is generated and the customer data is not changed.
