Accounts Receivable Menu -> Reports -> Accounts Opened
Report -> Customer List option
This option can be used to generate various reporting lists on
the customer information.
Generally it is the name, address and phone number from the
Customer Information that is reflected in
these lists.
However if the customer's physical address is different from the
billing address, and a Site is designated as being the Physical
Address in Site Information, then the
name, address and phone number from the Site does over-ride the
customer's in the report output.
The spreadsheet output includes both the Billing and Physical
addresses.
The selection filters include:

- REPORT FORMAT
- Select one of the following customer reporting options:
- Customer List to generate a 'Summarized', 'Detailed' or
'Quick' list of customers using the filters described below.
- Accounts Opened to generate a customer list as outlined
in Accounts Opened Report.
SORT LIST BY
- There are several sorting options to determine the order in
which the report prints.
e.g. If Name is selected, then the report would print in
customer name alphabetical order.
Select one of the following sorting options:
- Name to sort by customer name
- Number to sort by customer record number
- City to sort by the city in the customer's billing
address
- Prov/State to sort by the Province or State in the
customer's billing address
- Postal/Zip to sort by the Postal Code or ZIP code in the
customer's billing address
FROM ~~ and TO ~~
- These selection fields can be used to narrow the search.
They reflect the selection in the Sort List By field and
provide the corresponding search windows.
e.g. If Name is selected, then the FROM and TO fields
would be to capture a Customer range, and the search windows would
be for Customer lookup.
DIVISION, "ALL" OR "SEL"

- Type ALL to include customers from all divisions in the
report.
- To print the report for a single division, leave this field
blank for the Head Office Division, or enter a specific division
code, or select a division from the drop-down list.
- Type SEL to select several specific divisions or divisions by
customer region to include in the report, as outlined in Division Select By Region.
Note: The customer accounts included in the report output are
restricted by the divisional Access Values
assigned to the operator.

REPORT TYPE
- Select one of the following reporting options:
- Summary to generate a report listing the Customer name,
full address, phone, and currency.
Customers that do not have a "Date Opened" set in the Customer Credit Information are flagged with an
asterisk (*) in the right column on the PDF output.
- Detail to generate a report listing the Customer name
full address, phone, contact, credit limit, customer type, terms,
ship via, salesman, date account opened, currency, and Finance
Charges flag.
- Quick to generate a report listing only the Customer
name, phone, contact and account opened date.
The spreadsheet output of each report also includes the Customer
Credit Rating code and Fax number.
PAGE BREAK BETWEEN GROUPS
- Check this box to cause the report to start a fresh page when
it encounters a new Group (such as a new salesman, or a different
customer type).
Uncheck this box if page breaks are not required.
ALL CUSTOMER TYPES
- Check this box to restrict the customer list to a specific Type
of customer.
Uncheck this box to include all customer Types.
- CUSTOMER TYPE
- Enter the specific customer Type as defined in Customer Types or select it from the drop-down
list.
ALL CURRENCY CODES
- Check this box to restrict the list to customers for a specific
currency.
Uncheck this box to include all customers regardless of
currency.
- CURRENCY CODE
- Enter a specific currency as defined in Currency Codes or select it from the drop-down
list.
ALL SALESMAN CODES
- Check this box to restrict the list to customers for a specific
Salesman.
Uncheck this box to include all customers for all salesmen.
- SALESMAN CODE
- Enter the specific Salesman as defined in Salesman Code or select it from the drop-down
list.
CUTOMER ACCOUNT TYPE
- Select one of the following account types for the customers as
flagged in Customer Information:
- Cash to list only customers flagged as Cash only.
- On Account to list only customers flagged as charge On
Account.
- All to include both on account and cash customers.
ACTIVITY CUT-OFF DATE
- Accept the default cut-off date or set a preferred activity
cut-off date to narrow the customer list.
Any customers that do not have sales history dated on or after this
date will be excluded from the report.
Note: The Inactive Customer Report also
uses sales history to determine recent activity.
ACCOUNT OPENED FROM DATE
- Accept the default start date, or enter a starting date for the
customer account selection.
- ACCOUNT OPENED TO DATE
- Accept the today's date, or enter a preferred ending date for
the account selection.
Note: This selection filter applies to both PDF and spreadsheet
output, but the actual Opened Date does not print on the PDF
Summary.
Instead an asterisk (*) on the right column identifies customers
with no Account Opened Date.
REPORT OPTIONS
- This value defaults to the operator preference as defined in
Operators.
Select one of the output options to Print a report or export
the data to Excel as outlined in Report Options.
Finished?
- Click the ACCEPT button to begin printing the report, or CANCEL
to abort.
