Adjustments
This window can be used to build a discount structure table to
calculate the commission percents to be given at varying discount
levels.
Example:
The sliding scale is defined in this example for the contract as
follows:
The information in the table includes:
-
- ADJUSTMENT FOR:
- This field indicates whether these commissions adjustments
apply to Rentals, Sales, or Services.
BASE %
- The base percent as entered for this commission type is
displayed.
Commission Adjustment Table
- Multiple adjustment records can be setup in a table for each
Adjustment Type as follows:
- SEQ#
- The sequence number tracks the number of adjustment records in
the table.
DISCOUNT %
- This Adjustment Record applies when the discount given
to the customer falls between this Discount % and the
previous adjustment record.
CREATE COMMISSION STRUCTURE Window:
Instead of entering this Discount% manually in each
Adjustment Record, this formula window can be used to
automatically setup the commission structure by discount given at
varying discount levels.
Example:
- MAX ADJUSTMENT % ABOVE BASE
- Enter the highest commission allowed above the Base %
rate.
This would be the maximum percentage above the base commission (or
the highest starting point).
- DISCOUNT INCREMENT
- The Discount Increment determines the stepping values
for the Discount % column.
Enter the increments of discount given to customer that will
decrease the commission % rate.
- REDUCTION IN ADJUSTMENT %
- Enter the commission percent to be decreased for each discount
increment.
This percent determines the increment for the Adjustment %
column.
- NO. ADJUSTMENTS
- Enter the number of discount increments for which the
commission should be adjusted.
The number of adjustments allows the user to also define at what
point to stop changing the commission percentage.
Note: The sales rep will never be given a negative commission
percentage.
- Finished?
- Click ACCEPT to accept the formula or CANCEL to abort.
ADJUSTMENT %
- This is the difference in the commission given over/under the
Base % when this discount % has been given to the
customer.
+/-
- This symbol indicates whether the adjustment to the commission
is above or below the commission Base %.
CALCULATED %
- This is the commission percent including the base rate at this
discount level.
