A Slip Printer can be setup to print cash slips in place of the
full invoice documents.
These can be triggered automatically from Point Of Sale Invoices. The Cash Slips will print
on blank paper using a 40 character serial slip printer.
In the Printer Codes table, codes can
be entered for the global slip printer cut-off and for the cash
drawer feature.
This applies to Printer Type WIN-CRT for Windows systems.
To activate the Cash Slip feature a Slip Printer must be setup
for the division in the Divisional Printing
Parameters or in LINUX a Slip Printer can also be setup for the
operator in Operators.
In LINUX any operator slip printer would be used before the default
division printer.
In the Windows GUI environment any slip printer information in
Operators is ignored. Instead the slip
Printer is controlled by workstation or terminal, as explained
below.
Note: The slip printer invoice does not utilize the alternate language feature.
The Slip Printer setup in Divisional Printing Parameters or in Operators is as follows:
Slip Printer setup on Windows Desktop
The Slip Printer must first be added to the Windows Desktop on each
terminal that is to use a Slip Printer.
Then in the SRM Printer selection window the Slip Printer must also
be flagged on each terminal as outlined in Printer Selection.
A global cut-off code and a cash drawer code can be entered for
WIN-CRT in Printer Codes.
If a specific slip printer differs from this standard, then in the
Slip Printer setup process, click on the "Advanced" button after
flagging the Slip Printer.
Enable the Advanced Options, and enter the preferred Code for Cut
Off and the preferred Code for Cash Drawer, and click OK.
