Manufacturing Overview
Inventory Control Menu -> Manufacturing Overview
Using these manufacturing programs, sales inventory products can
be built using your own parts, and then can be received into Sales
inventory or sold directly to a customer.
- Manufacturing Run:
- The Manufacturing Receiving program is used to log each
completed manufacturing run by date and provides the ability to
create an invoice selling the newly manufactured sales product.
Manufacturing Receiving
- part quantities are relieved from
inventory stock at time of MF receiving
- manufactured sales product quantity is added to inventory stock
at time of MF receiving
- invoiced quantity of manufactured product is relieved from
inventory stock when invoice created in MF receiving
- Daily Close required to post GL costs and post any invoice
created to sell manufactured product
Availability:
- Availability checking is applied if the parts used are
associated with Groups that are flagged to
do so.
Defining Component Parts and optional BOM Codes:
- The parts used in the manufacturing process can be defined in
the tables accessed from the Configuration
System Settings.
Inventory Bill Of Materials - defines
the components in the build including BOM Codes used
- BOM Codes:
- Optional Bill of Material Codes can be setup, and
multiple parts with varying quantities can be assigned to these BOM
Codes.
By using a BOM code as a component in building the product, the
list of parts assigned to the code can automatically be used in
manufacturing the new product.
Cost Rounding:
- Because the costs of parts used is rounded to 2 decimal places,
a "Manufacturing Rounding" account must be setup in the
Additional Accounts window of Default
Accounts.
Manufacturing Reports and Inquiries:
- The sales parts with quantities and costs used in the
construction, can be tracked using the following screen inquiries
and printed reports:
