Print Customer # Barcodes
Accounts Receivable Menu -> Reports -> Print Customer # Barcodes
This print option can be used to generate individual barcode
labels with the customer name and account number for your regular
customers.
The label could then be attached to a card, for future use by a
scanner to speed up customer identification at the counter.
There are two methods available for printing customer and
product Barcode labels, that can be configured in the Barcode
Parameters settings of the Company Inventory
Parameters by the Use Zebra Barcode Printers flag:
- Standard Zebra printers are often used for printing Barcode
labels and printer setup can be configured in Zebra Barcode Printers, but this functionality is
not available on Open Client sessions or in the SaaS
environments.
Refer to the Barcode Report Devices in the Company Inventory Parameters for instructions in
defining the barcode printer setup.
- Barcode labels can be printed using Jasper PDF forms as setup
Company Customer Forms which can be
print from Open Client sessions or in the SaaS environments.
The prompts are:
-
- CUSTOMER#
- Enter the customer number or select one from the window.
QTY
- Enter the required number of labels for this customer.
Finished?
- Click ACCEPT to print or CANCEL to abort the print
process.
Label Printing:
- The Use Zebra Barcode Printers flag in the Company Inventory Parameters controls the label
print method, and the following print prompts:
- Jasper PDF Labels
-
- If there is only one form defined in the Label Forms Mapping table then the Input Required window is triggered when customer
barcode labels are printed to set the starting print label position
when there are multiple labels per page.
- If multiple forms for customer labels are defined in Label Forms Mapping then the Select Form To Print window is only triggered to
select the form and set the blank label count.
e.g. If the form selected in the Label to Print field has
3 labels across and 10 on a page, but 5 labels have already been
used, enter 5 in the Number of Blank Labels field to skip
the first 5 used labels and to start printing on the 6th label on
the sheet.
Zebra Labels
- A Barcode Label Print OK window is provided to confirm
or re-select the desired printer.
The printer for Barcode Labels can default by division, as
determined in the Barcode Report Devices in the Company Inventory Parameters.
Click NO if the labels need to be reprinted again now.
Click YES if the labels printed successfully.
