Update Sales Item Cost Type

The three special cost type codes +, *, % can be assigned
to Sales products, as explained in Sales Item
Cost Code List.
This utility can be used to add or change the cost types and any
changes to the Cost Type are tracked in the Audit Log.
The prompts are:
- PRODUCT CLASS
- Enter the sales product class or press <F4> and select
one from the window.
Rental equipment does not use the Cost Types and will not be
displayed.
SORT BY PROD# OR DESC
- Type D - Description, to list the products in product
description order for this class.
Type P - Product # to list the products in product number order for
this class.
Middle of the Screen:
PRODUCT NUMBER
- The Products will appear in Product # order or Description
order within that Product Class, so all products in that class,
with descriptions and any cost types, can be reviewed and
changed.
DESCRIPTION
- The product descriptions displays.
COST TYPE
- The cost type displayed, can be changed as required.
COST %
- If the Cost Type entered for a product is % now enter
the percentage of the selling price to calculate the cost.
This field does not apply for products with + or *
cost types.
