Product Search by Vendor Product#

Purchase Order Menu -> Purchase Orders Details -> Vendor Product # window -> Search by Vendor Product#

This search by the supplier's product information, requires that either the supplier's product number or the product description be used to narrow down the search.

The prompts in this search utility are:

SEARCH FOR

Select one of the following options:

• Select Rentals to look for a rental item.
• Select Sales to look for a sales part.
• Select Both to include both sales and rental products in the search.

VENDOR PRODUCT#

Enter the supplier's number code for this product, or leave the field blank to search by the supplier's description.

DESCRIPTION

Enter the first few characters of the product description.

Search Results:
The matching products are listed with the product number, vendor product number, product type, and description.
The list can be resorted by any column in ascending or descending order, by clicking in the column heading.
Columns can also be dragged and dropped to reposition them as required.
To select a record from the list, double-click on the appropriate record, or highlight the record and click the SELECT button.
Note: Rental or Sales products that have been flag to Stop P.O.s in the Make/Model and Re-Order Information (Rental Assets) or the Inventory Re-Order Information (Sales Products) window, cannot be added to the P.O. and a warning is generated.
This can be useful for products such as discontinued items that should no longer be ordered.
