Inventory Usage Report
The Inventory Usage Report lists inventory SALES by Product
Class, for all divisions or a single specified division.
It reports the quantity on hand, the List Price, and the quantity
sold of each product for last year and for this year.
Only products flagged as being 'Inventory' in Sales Inventory are included.
Note: Stock will not appear on this report unless there has been
usage.
The prompts are:

- FROM PRODUCT CLASS
- Leave this field blank to include all Product Classes or type
in a beginning Sales Product Class, or select it from the Product Class Search window.
TO PRODUCT CLASS
- Leave this field blank to include all Product Classes, or type
in an ending Sales Product Class, or select it from the
window.
FROM SALES DATE
- Accept the current year starting date and the last year
starting date, or enter preferred dates.
TO SALES DATE
- Accept today's date and one year ago today for the ending
dates, or enter preferred ending dates.
COST
- Select one of the following Cost types to print:
- Select Average Cost to print the Average Costs for the
products as defined in Sales
Inventory.
- Select Last Cost (Landed) that is obtained from entry
and posting of the stock receipt in A/P
Invoices and Post A/P Invoices.
- Select Re-Order Cost to print the Re-Order costs for the
products as defined in Sales
Inventory.
Note: When using the purchase order system, if a product has
been received in Warehouse Receiving but
has not yet been invoiced, the quantity will appear on this report
but not the cost.
ENTER LOCATION OR 'ALL'
- Type ALL to include all divisions or select a single the
location from the drop-down list.
NEW PAGE PER CLASS
- Check this box to print each Product Class on a new page.
Uncheck this box to prevent paging by Product Class.
SORT ORDER
- Select one of the following product order options:
- Select Product Description to print the product details
in description order alphabetically.

Select Product Number (Right) to list the product details
by product number Right Justified.
This would cause the product numbers to list in numeric order where
product number 2 would precede 001 (as 001 has more digits).

Select Product Number (Left) to list the product details
by product number Left Justified
This would cause the product numbers to list as if the characters
were letters and so 001 would precede 2 (because 0 comes before
2).
COST LOCATION
- This prompt only applies if the Sales item Average Cost by
Location processing has been activated in the Support Application Parameters and products from all
locations are included on the report.
Enter the specific location from which the costs should print, or
select the cost location from the drop-down list.
If Cost by Location processing has not been activated, the
average cost is used automatically.
INCLUDE ALL PRODUCTS
- Uncheck this box if stock should only appear on this report if
there has been usage in the selected period.
Check this box if all products in the Product Class that are
flagged as inventory, should be included in the output even if
there have been no sales of the product from the selected location
in the period.
This view provides a more complete view of the products by
class.
REPORT OPTIONS
- This value defaults to the operator preference as defined in
Operators.
Select one of the output options to Print a report or export
the data to Excel as outlined in Report Options.
Finished?
- Click the ACCEPT button to begin printing the report, or CANCEL
to abort.
