Update Product File
Inventory Control Menu -> Vendor
Catalogues -> Update Product File
This program can be used to update list prices and re-order
prices for any products in your firm's product file that are also
listed in this Vendor Parts Price update file.
The prompts are:

- VENDOR #
- Enter the vendor number assigned to this supplier or select it
from the Vendor Search window.

Only Vendor numbers with a Parts File already entered and defined
in Vendor Definition File can be
entered.
VALUE TO UPDATE
- Select one of the following update actions:
- Click List Price to update the List for any products in
your company's product file that are also listed in this Vendor's
price update.
- Click Re-Order Price to update the Re-Order price for
any products in your company's product file that are also listed in
this Vendor's price update.
- Click Both to update the List Price and the Re-Order
Price for any products in your company's product file that are also
listed in this Vendor's price update.
Note: To update product prices from the supplier's parts list,
the corresponding Vendor Number must be assigned to each
eligible product in Sales Inventory or
Rental Inventory for a match.
PRINT AUDIT TRAIL
- Check this box to print a report listing any products to be
changed.
The product number, Vendor product number, old list price, new list
price, old re-order price and new re-order price, display.
If this option to print the audit report is selected, then the
price update does not actually occur until the audit report is
accepted.
Uncheck this box to suppress the printed audit report.
Because no audit report is printed, the price update occurs
immediately when this screen is accepted.
Finished?
- A printer can be confirmed or re-selected from the Printer
option located on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the ACCEPT button to update the products or to begin
printing the report, or CANCEL to abort.
- Confirmation to Update the Product File:
- This prompt appears only if the audit report was printed for
products to be updated.
Click Yes to proceed with the update.
Click No to abort the update and leave the product file
unchanged.
